COUNTY, COLORADO, APPR4VING A SUPPLEMENTAL 2048 BUDGET FOR THE
1/2 CENT TRANSIT SALES AND USE TAX FUND

RECITALS
1. The Aspen City Councii, the Piikin Couniy Baard af County Cornmissianers and
the Town Council of Snowmass Village (the "Parties"} have previously identified general elements
of their Comprehensive Valley Transportation Plan (the "Plan") which are eligible for funding from
the Pitkin County one-half cent transit sales and use taac.
2. By intergovernmental agreement dated September 14, 1993, the Parties agreed;
a. to conduct regular public meetings to continue to refine and agree upon praposed
projects and transpartation elements consisfient with or comp}imentary to the Plan;
and ~
b. that all expenditures and projects to be funded fram the County-wide one-half cerat
transit sales and use t~ sha11 be agreed upon by the Parcies and evidenced by a
resolution adopted by the governing body of each party.
3, At a public meeting l~eld on February 14, 2008, the Parties considered and approved
the following supplemental budget requests for the year 2008 for the Pitkin Caunty one-kalf cent
transit sales and use tax:
a. an additional $48Q,000 for construction of bus lanes between Buttermilk and the
Aspen roundabout;
b. $117,000 to implement, study, and analyze free bus sarvice between Snowrnass and
Aspen for the 2008 summer and fall seasons; and
4. By adoption of this resolution the Board of County Commissioners wishes to
ratify the approval of the supplemental budget requests.
NI~W THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissionexs of
Pitkin Caunty, Colorado that the following supplemental budget requests for the 2008 ane-half cent
transit sales and us~ tax expenditure budget are hereby approved:
Frce A.spen ~-Snowmass Bus Service and Analysis $117,400
Additional Bt~s Lane Funding 480,000
