motion the said offer was accepted and the treasurer authorized amd directed o ecept said

Upon motion the treasurer was authorized a'nd directed to transfer the sum of ~450.OOfrom~
the appropriation of the year I926 to the County Poor Fund.

Upom motion the treasurer was authorized and directed to transfer from the Regular County
Road Fumd the sum of ~p5000.00 to the State Highway Fusd,bbing this portion of the X9000.00
appropriated by Pitkin County to meef~ an equal amount as appropriated by the State Highway
Department to Pitkin County for maintenance of the Statei Highways within said County for the
year I927.
Lee F.Shelhamer having offered to purchase the tax certificates of sale and the tsars to
to date on the A'. 25 ft.of Lot D.Block 54 bspen,offering the sum of X20.00. Upon motion the
said offer was aaeepted and the treasurer authorised and directed to transfer and assign
said certificates for said sum.

TLe Bond of Thongs E.Green in the sum of~I000.00 from the American Surety Co. was approved by
the Boarrd as to forms snd sufficiency.
The Bond of Frank O.Stevens as Justice of the Peace in the Emma Precinet,in the sum bi
~Iooo.oo by the National Surety Company was approved oy the B~a,rd as to form and sufficiency.
The following resolution was adopted by t~;e Board.
BE IT RESOLVED;in order to avail ourselves of ~9000.OO,the amount awarded Pitkin county
from Sate Highway fundsfor maintenance of State Highways for the year I927,we do hereby appro~
priate or seb aside from County Road funds an equal amount(9,000.00)making a jo*nt ~paintenanee
fund of ~I8,OOO.OOfor above mentioned puitpasei. Said fund to be expended under same rules
andregulations governing expenditures EiP year I926,as set forth in letter dates February 26
I925,now on file in our office.

ing,for advice and opinion respecting a settlement of the Hifh School diffiegtlties at Basalt.
9fhereas,on February 7th F.M.MoConaughy sent in his resignations from the office of Con-
stable ir} the Emma District and Everett Gerbaz has made applieatuin to be appointed as con-
stable in place of said MaConaughy,it is now,therefore,resolved that the resignation of said
BleConaughy be accepted and the said Gerbaz is hereby appointed with instructions forwith to
qualify.
In the matter of immediately necessary repairs involving the re-flooring of the Castle
CreeY bridge,whiehii so badly rotted and worn as to demand such attention;it is agreed between
the Commissioners of Pitkin County and Charles Sweitzer that as soon as the weather shall per-
mit,the work shall be done under his supervision and upin the followixg conditions:-
