said offer was accepted and the treasurer authorized and d~irecsted to transfer and. assign
said certifieata;~s for said sum.

The offer in the sum of gI5.00 was made fcr the taxsale oertifioate and taxes to date on
Lots "B" and "C", Blook 74, City of Aspen. Upon motion the said offer was acoepted and the
Treasurer authorized and directed to transfer and addign said oertifioate for said sum.
The offer in the sum of x,20.00 was made for the tax sale certifioate and taxes to date o
Lots °H" and '"L"' in Blook 3S, Qity of Aalea,upon motion the said offer was acoepted and the
Treasurer authorizet and directed to transfer and assign said oertificate for said sum.

aooepted and, the Treasurer authorized anal directed to transfer and assign said oertificate fo
said sum.
The sum of Y30.00 was offered by F.N.Brewster for the taxes on the Dental outfit oY Dr.
D.H.;utoore's stored at the Elk's Building. Upon motion the said sum was aooepted and the area
urer authorized and direoted to aooept said sum for said taxes.
Where$s, in the matter of assessment off' goods in the stook of the Peoples' Store dispute
has long bean pending as to assessments of taxes with partial payments and rei't~sal to pay upon
assessments manifestly erroneous,now, therefore; the Commissioners of Pitkin Ronnty being ad-
vised in the premises and satisfied there has been error and believing the ~talanoe fairly due
to be the sum of X469.30 as tendered:: Be it resolsed that the County Treasurer shall eooept
said sum and shall receipt in full for said tazes to date.

Be it .re solved, by the Board of Commissioners assembled at Aepen,Colorado for the monthl
meeting of Deoember for ordinary business matters that there is need ~'or maintenanoe of State
~igba-ays of Pitkin ~osnty the sum of X20,000.00 for the I929 A.D. and they pledge the faith
of the Counttiy to the oontribution of one-half of said sum for said purpose.
In the matter of the application of C¢iaude Crowley oj' Meredith Colorado, for a lease of
the small traot of land belonging to Pitkin County, situated at Thomasville dolorado, on which
stands the saw-mill owndd by said Crwuley, s8,id traot oonsi.ating of an acre more. or leas, The
application 1a granted at the nominal rent of y"TI.00 per year for the pe riod bS ten (IO) years
from date, and the Bounty Attorney is direoted to drafty such lease so conditioned, to be signet
by the Chairman of this Board, and the Treasurer of Pitkin County is instructed to reoeive sa:
rental and receipt for the same.
The County attorney is instruoted to notify by letter those Commissioners of other ooun-
ties who have oollected sheep taz for the entire years of I929 and X988, and without remitting
to Pitkin County the share justly its due for the grazing period, upon permits from Fsrestry
Service to ooonpy psrtions of Pitkin 0ounty ranges, that beoauae of failure and refusal so to
pay proportionately, effort will be made to debar flock owners of said counties from obtaining
grazing privileges in this county,aand further, to notify that under advioe of Colorado. Tax
Commission, it is the intention of the Commissioners to enter suit against said delinquent
counties for.the proportion of taxes justly due and wihhheld.

Complaint has been made of interference with the common use of a oertain road,
wholly within the Gouuty oY Pitkin, running to and into public lands where sheep and cattle are
ranged under permit from the Forestry Service, and from which timber is sold to meet private
and public needs, by obstruction of gates as well as by demand of money payment for its use
from those who obtain permits for pasturing and for timber cutting, said toad having long been
used, as it 1s claimed for such and other purposes by the public and

she determination by them that for more than.thirty years last past there has been free publio
use of said road and that its use is an essential use by the public and by the Forestry servio ~~
aid its permit holders, and

he right of free and uninterrupted passage over the lands by it traversed, and that right of ~+
ay belongs to the publio because of aoquiesoenoe in said use, and.without protest,.and is ndt +~
onger subjeot to individual control, nor to revocation of right and privilege.

uildinga are oondemned for immediate removal in the intere$t of safety and the best of the nei~
ohood. ,
