Williams. The following members were present: Commissioners G. B. Brown, Loule Vagneur, John R. 'rYllliams, Clerk M. 1'i. Nelhard . Being the first meeting of the new Board, the Board of County Commissioners was reorgaplz d by the unanimous election of S. B. Brown as Chalrmsn. Upon motion it was decided that the Board did notathink It advisable to send the Count Assessor to the West Side District Conference at Grand Junction Jan. 14-15. Unanimous. ,~ Matter of the division of the money from the U. S. Forest Reserve was deferred. R esolntion favoring the construction State Highway between Gypsum and Highway 84 at E1Jebe1 of Cattle Creek passed unanimously. The petition of 14 citizens concerning the division of Forest Reserve money 95~o to .the schools and 5~ to the roads on condition that all classes In Dist No. 1 be accommodated in the High School Building; otherwise the diaieion be reversed was not acted upon as being with out the jurisdiction of the Board. Unanimous. Dr. NJ. H. Twining was elected County Physician at s salary of X50.00 per month, during the pleasure of the Board. Unanimous. On motion and second C. C. Wieben rr;:~s allowed 25.00 for relief. Unanimous. Motion made seconded and carried that the Board approve the Deputise appointed by the County Officers: viz: Clarence E. Johnson, Deputy County Treasurer; William R. Wheeler, Deput County Assessor: Henry ~. Beck, Deputy County Clerk and Recorder; and that their salaries be placed at one dollar 01.00) per month. Unanimous. The appointment of Janitor and under-sheriff was defe~trred till next meeting. •On motion and second it was decided That the Road Overseers be let off subject to call. Carr led.
