Brown, Chairman; Louis Vagneur, Com- ~ainaioner; J. R. Williams, Commissioner; M. M. Neihardt, Clerk. Minuted of regular meeting of April 4 & 5 wre read and approved. The Following petition was submitted and considered: ' Aspen, Colorado ~1` ' May 2, 1932 WHEREAS, there is a great need for the employment of workingmen in Pitkin County, in orde that they may secure the necessities of life, And WHEREAS, there is to be expended under the direction of our County Commissioners the sum f ~ X8,000'.00 for road work on pro~eet 509F, And _ WHEREAS, the Governor of Colorado and the'St~te Highway Commission have expressed their d sire that this work oe done by man power instead of through the use of costly machinery, sot t the gr5atest relief possible be'afforded to the unemployed of Pitkin County, And WHEREAS, a spirit of co-operation by our Oounty Commissioners will be greatly appreciate , they having the welfare of Pitkin County citizens at heart, and as the representative of Pit- I kin County citizens will sot humanly in this matter, ~ !
