The following resolution was una~zimously adopted,
R S O L U T I 0 N
tiVHn~EAS, It has Dome to our attention that certain interests are requesting that the matter
of the diversion of water from the headwaters of the Colorado River to the head-
~~~ waters of the Arkansas River be made an order of business in the Special Session of the
', General Aseernbly of the State of Colorado
Id0'N, B~ IT RESOLVED, By the Hoard of County Commissioners of Pitkin County that we respeet-
~ fully request the Governor of the State of Colorado, Hon. Edwin C. Johnson, in issuing his
call for said Special Session, NOT to include this matter in his call, but to allow this
matter to go over till the next regular session, thereby allowing time for ascertaining the
proper needs for said diversion and the effects for and against the interests of the Western
Slope such diversion would have. Adopted at a regular meeting of the Board this 6th day of

Stapleton Brothers: Again calling your attention to the water from your land running into
the ditch along Highway No. 82, of which the Clerk wrote you, on order of the Board on May
26, 1933. ~.

This is to advisB you that the condition has not yet been corrected and to inYorm you that
this water must be stopped beYore it reaches the Highway Right-oY-Way.
The County and State have and aTe spending much money keeping the Highway in good condition an
unless the practice is stopped, action must be taken to protect State and County Property.
Trusting that you will at once see to the matter and prevent this Ylooding oY the Highway, we
