Emery Arbaney was unanimouc~l.y elected Road Over.aeer for Hwy .133 and Rook Creek Region. For Emma Diatr~ct Everett Gerbaz was nominated by Mr. Brown and doe Dosaigny by Mr. Vagneur. On vote, Mr. Doeaigny wee elected. Henry Hoagland was re-elected. The above to remain overseers for 1935 or during the pleasure of the Board. Motion made,, seconded and unanimously parried that the wage scale be as follows for road workers and that the carne be.retao-aptive to Feb. 1, 1935. Laborer X3.00; Teamster X3.00; Team X3.00; Truck Driver X3.50; Foreman X4.00. It was moved seconded and carried that the County Treasurer be authorised and instructed to transfer X2,000.00 from the County Road Fund to the SP~pial Roads Fund. The claim of R.M.Stallard in the amount of ~p6.25 for expenses as representative of NRS to Glenwood Springs was disallowed. Bedford, Auditor of State was considered but no action taken. The Clerk was instructed to write Mr. C. M. Somerville, Hugo, Colorado, advising him that Pitkin County would co-operate with others in presenting the Counties' views to the Supreme Court on the constitutionality of the present distribution of 27g'o of the gas tax money to the Counties and to state that this County would stand up to X35.00 expense of the same as suggested in his letter of Jan. 25~ 1935. The following agreement was approved: AGREEMENT THIS ARTICLE OF AGRE~dENT, Made and entered into this 5th day of February 1•D•1935, by and Uetween Ernest Strong, John Strong and A.L.Culp, hereinafter called the Contractors snd Louis Vagneur, G. B~ .gown and Boyd R. King as the Board o3 County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, hereinafter palled the Board, ~ITNESSETH: The Said Contractors agree to build a bridge at the site of the old bridge aprons the Roaring ork River on the road leading up Lincoln Gulch and near the Grottoes. Said bridge is to be uilt according to the following specifications: There are to be six~atringers the entire ength, said stringers to be not less than 12 inches in diameter at the smaller end; Center f uridge is to be supported by an i-shaped pier;-Bridge is to consist of two 30-ft. spans; looring to be of three-inph lodge pole or ~it~ pine plank; abutments to be made of new lodge ole pine filled 3n with rocks; approaches to be pomplete. Width 14 feet aid Contractors further agree, at their own expense, to construct a bridge above the afore- aid bridge where said road crosses Lincoln creek near the Coin y Cabin and near`the 3uno- ion of the said Lincoln Creek and Roaring Fork River. Spepifipatlons of second bridge as ollowa: Six stringers not less than ~ 12 inches in diameter at smaller end; abutments of odge-pole pine; flooring 3-inch white pine plank; abutments lodge-pole pine; approaches omplete. Both bridges to be built in workman-like manner.
