The Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, met at 10:00 A. td. Saturday
February 18, 1939 with the following members present: Orest A: Gerbaz, Chaibman; G. B. Browny ',
Commissioner; BDyd R. King, Commissioner; M. M. Neihardt, Clerk.
The minutes of the meeting held February 6, 1939 were read and approve d. I
The County Treasurer was authorized and instructed to make the following transfers of funds:
400.00 from County Aid to Blind Fund to Public 4Velfara Aid to Blind Fund.
350.00 from County Aid to Dependent Children Fund to P. W: Aid to Dependent Children Fund.
500.00 from County Administrative Fund to Public Welfare Administrative Fund.
The claim of Bert Bagett for supplies on Highway No. 82 in amount of X31.25 was allowed.'
The following claims were audited approved and ordered paid from State Special Road Fund:
J. V. Roses Truck Pas,Tment 102.04 Thompson Mfg Co.~ Parts 32.35
~ Check No. 459 dated January_23, 1939 in the amount of X173.91 from Irving Trust Co., Trustee
in Bankruptcy Kountz Bres. 1st Div. A/C "disbursed For Div. 5~" (said Irving Trust Co., being
in Woolworth Building, New York), was presented to the Board. The Clerk was instructed to file
and hold the same until further ordered, this action in no wise to be construed as acknowledg-
ment of Pitkin County's aigB~: to the same.

with the attestation of the Clerks shall be and is hereby authorized to execute and deliver
to said Liberty Trucks & Parts Company assignable trade acceptances, asrl a certificate or cert~f-'
testes evidencing the above transaction and the agreement of the County to pay Liberty Truclts
Parts Company, or its assigneem for the purchase so made; and 'that it is understood that thesa~d
Liberty Trucks & Parts Company may assign its right to the said paym:enta, and that its endorse-
ment of the said trade acceptances will be sufficient evidence of any such as,signment."

The offer of the sum of 25.00 for tax sale certificate 209 Dec. 22, 1923, and taxes up to
and including 1937 sere Lot D Block 89 Aspens eras accepted (Miles Sweeny)
The vote of Commissioner Gerbaz on purchase of Stoker as made provisi orally on Feb. 6, 1939
was rescinded on a count of urea*tisfactory guarantees (satisfactory guarantee having been
required as part o terms of purchase)
Motion to acci~pt bid of Brands Garage as made Feb. 6, 1939 contingent upon satisfactory
guarantee (guarantee to be appro ved by Board before shipment) was ms de by Commisai er Gerbaz.
Second was made by Commissioner Erown. Carried by note as follows: "Yes"--Gerbaz an Brown;
