August 7, 1939 with the following members present: Ox~est'fi. Gerbas, Chairman; G. B. Brown,
Commissioner; Boyd R. King, Commissioner; .H. LI. Neihardt, Clerk.
The minutes of the meeting field July 20, 1939 were read and approved.
It .vas agreed to lease the Race Traek 'co John Hoagland fmr five years at Y{5.00 per year,
payable on Pray 1 0£ each year, unless the said race track should be plowed, cultivated and
used as agricultural land, in which case the rental should egxgal the taxes assessed on land
oP equal value used as agric:ltural or cultivated ground based on an acreage of 5 acrea.c°"''~
The following action was taken regarding the Depository Protection of the County Treasure
for County Funds deposited in the Aspen State Bank by the County Treasurer: •
The following resolution was duly offered, seconded and unanimously adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED, That the following bonds now do escrow in tine First National Bank of Denve ,
Colorado, as security for County deposits in the Aspen State Bank, now on deposit or to be

A Quit Claim Deed from J. M. Leahy for-Right of Wag of Ashcroft Truck Trail through H E
94 in T. 11 R. 84 was received and it wee moved that100.00 be paid therefor from the State
Spacial Road Fund. Seconded and Carrie d.
The County 'Treasurer was authorized anti instructed'to transfer X2.00 from the Pitkin
Oounty Administrative Fund to the Old Age Pension Fund.
The following bills were tabled since there sued some possible duplication ea to Arc-

on account of said grease and oil being used on equipment rented to the County by the $aid
CI'eude Crowley and paid for by the day; hence the payment therefor 'should be made by Mr.Crowli
