' The Board oP County Commissioners of Pitkin'County, Colorado, met at x:00 P. M., with the
following members pmesent; Orest A.'Gerbaz, Chairman; G. B. brown, Oommiasioner; Boyd R. Ri:
Commissioner; M. M. "eihardt, Clerk.
Ralph L. McGee, Auditor tendered his report covering a period from Dec. 1, 1938 tb
~vne 30, 1939, s**tilrng that the records indicate that proper accountings had been made by
the various officers. He made the following suggestiona,'merely AS .SUGGESTIONS: that it
might be possible to trandfer some money from those funds derived from mill levy taxation
and classified ea Administrative, Aid to Dependent Children and Aid to Blind to the Poor
Fund, since the Poor Fund had transferred to these funds at their inception; that it might
be possible fair 1940 to reduce levies. for Administrative and Dependent Children to then
advantage of the Poor or other funds. These were mere suggestions to receive the conaidera~
tion of the Board ieho could then act according to the law and their judgment.
The claim Of X112:50 to Ralph L. McKee for Auditor set~vice was allowed from the $ppt
Ordinary County 13ev enue Fund.
n Ralph L. McKee made application for the appointment of Auditor in the following words
Please consider this my application for appointment as county auditor of Pitkin COUnty,
.Colorado, for the years 1940 and 1941.
"I would like to do this work on the same basis as for 1939, namely, x$200.00 per year for
.two semi-annual`audits, or Por such other periods of the year as may work to the advantage
of both parties^.
Hia application was accepted and he was unanim u y chosen as above set forth.
The question off' advertising for bids for t3as stoke the Court House was presented
but no action taken.
