The $oard of County Commission.era .of Pitkin-Gounty, 'Colorado, met`at .10:00 A.M: with the following I
members present: Chairman, Oreat A. Gerbaa; Commissioners T.'d. Sardy and Samuel .Nowell; County Clerk,
Peggy &. Coble; Rnbert'Delaney, County Attorney, being absent; having been excused.
Bills were.. audited, approved and ordered paid from [he Various .Welfare Funds as follows:
OLD AGE PENSION FUND: $5581.67
PUBLIC WELFARE FUND:. $1168.70
A-ggpup o8 people-headed by Mr. Lyle 'Beattie of the Aspen Gae .Company, appeared before the Commie sinners
sad presented reasons why. they felt a new bridge over Castle Creek was needed immediately and why they felt
it shouldbe in the present location. A copy of their .reasons were then placed of record of the"County
Conmiseionera proceedings.
The application of Leonard A. Short for a restaurant beer, wine and spiritous liquor license a[ Redstone
was considered by the co®ieaionere, said application. having been duly advertised and allpapers in order.
Several persona appeared with ,their. attorney, Charles J. Traylov,.; and etated.objec tio¢s and Mr. .and Mrs. ~,
Leonard Short and others appearedin support of the ieauance of said license. All persona appealing before
the Conmisaionera, both for and againetthe issuance of said license, were heard. After considerable die-
cuaeion, the Commissioners advised that a decision would be given at a later date.
Mr: Lee.Wade appeared before the Coa®iesioners inregard to paya:ent for a Monroe Calculator ordered
by the Aseeeaor'e Office. After discussion, upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously approved,
payment for said calculator was approved.. '~
A request for the purchase of an IBM electric typewriter for use an the County Clerk's Office was made i
by the -0ounty Clerk. Approval of such purchase was granted.
Mr. Leon.Wurl, city manager, appeared in conjunction with. the paving project of the city and county
and it was agreed that the city. and coulty would pave the etteet in front of the court house.
The renewal of a 3.2 beer license for the Meredi th .Store at Meredith was approved, as well ae a 3.2
beer license renewal for the Sundeck.
