Bills were audited,approved and ordered paid from the Various Funds as follows: 'I~ ORDINARY FUND: $9,195.45. Buchanan, County, Engineer, submitted plane for the new-Slaughter House Bridge, which, er~E}.amdnat~na. by the Commissioners, were approved and it was directed that order be placed for prestreeeaed crete~.memh~rs in accordance with such plane. It was directed that the engineer contact Hana Brucker aiding placement of concrete abatements. Mr. G. E: Buchanan reported to the Commisaiomera pertaining to his inveatiga[ion of the bill submitte 0..E. Mills for road preparation and road aurfacingwork done by him during the summer of 1959. Mr. Hills offered to settle by. way. of compromise for $3,750.00. Mr. Buchanan reported that Mr.Mills had'_fdi}ed to Flete his contract in that he had notprovided a seal coat, that there were soft apota in some of the inter- tioms, and that a part of the mat failed. However, that the contractor should have credit for grading and .blazing the base and that the net amount owed should be computed at $2,933.40, of which the County would $2,440.70. The County Attorney was directed to offer that amount to Mr. Mille in full settlement. of his .im against the County. The Commissioners authorized Mr.Trafton Bean,. Mr. Milton Conner,County Probation Officer, was authorized to attent the annual conference of the .orado Probation and Parole Officers at Pueblo. .The resignation of Mrs. Norma Anderson, Deputy County Clerk, effective February 15, 1961, was :spied with regret.
