Howell; Commissioners Oreat A. Gerbaz and T. J. Sardy; Robert Delaney, (,(County Attorney and Peggy E.Coble, Clerk. ', Bills were audited, approved and ordered paid from the Various Funds as follows: jj OLD AGE PEPSION FUND: qS S~!-~ /s j PUBLIC WELFARE FUND: /3 z 7• ~c A Representative of Walter Motor Truck Company appeared before the Co®issionars requesting coneiderat is :of a "Walters Snofighter" unit for snow aemovaland after discussion it was suggested that he send to the 'Commissioners a proposal for the leasing of this equipmenton the basis ofnot having a dump bed, nor a V blade, I ^,and using an 11 foot wing on the right side. ' Mr. & Mrs. George White of Redstone, representing theCryatal River TV Association appeared before the n ---0pmmissionera and reported that the television installation. had been completed and was aucce ssfully operating ~ at Redstone so that to levsiion was available f;om the Grand Junction station; that the cost of exclusive of ~. doaated time, material and-equipment was $2,668.09 and that they were counting on a participating contribution by the Commissioners pursuant to previous resolution adopted by the Commissioners. Following discussion, on. motion duly made and seecoaded, the expenditure of $933.83 was authorized to apply against the cost of the I ,Redstone television installation. The Pitkin Connty Hoapitalrepre aentative s, Mr. Janzen, Msa.Stanton, and Mrs. Maddalone appeared before) 'the Commissioners and diacusaed varioushospital plans, problems and programs. It was recosmiended that the 'Commissioners review the appointments of Hospital Board Members and determine or establish the specific terms of each member:, adflethereafter make regular appointments as the members terms of office expired. The Commfaeion ~ ,advised that this would be done at the reorganization meeting in January 1962. ' Mr. Janzen stated it would be of substantial assistance to Hospital adminiatrat6oa to obtain a jeep Ilwith a snow plow for plowing snow around the hospital and for. general use and the Chairman was requestedto write a letter and take ouch othersteps as may be necessary toattempt to attain a Government Surplus jeep for use at the ho§pital. It was further directed that each of the Commissioners and Mr. Janzen be authorized to sign receipts or other documents necessary to obtain such equipment. Mr. Janzen advised that certain exterior work on the new hospital wonldeneaeeaA~¢ly be delayed by the weather and that the job could not be completed until spring, but that this would mot make any material difference in the use of the hospital this-winter. A letter of resignation of Mr. F. W. Anderson ae a member of the Pitkin County Bmar3lo~ Adjustor@nt (was received sad accepted. It was learned by the Commissioners that no progress had apparently been made: in obtaining Deeds on propertyfor~which the County holds tax sale certificates, and itr was directed that the County Treasurer be.- ~iaformed that this program must be taken care of or else action would be taken by the Commissioners. Correspondence dmom the Colorado Department of Highways vequesting.passage of a resolution concerning Highway 133 through Redstone was considered and the County. Attorney was directed to write the highway department jfor clarification. The Commiaeionera again discussed the proposed revised zoning map and also the matter of adoption: of the Uniform Housing Codg with Mr. Markalunas Building Inapectorand concluded that these matters should be (given further consideration at the next meeting.
