RE: Brower 1041 Minor Hazard Review

I have reviewed the grower 1041; minor hazard review application
and the Planning Director will grant approval to the application
pending completion of the plat. with the following conditions
noted on the mylar.
I. The rear wall of the proposed single-family house should
serve as a retaining walh"'for'"tTie 'slope behind the' struc-
ture. The wall should be designed by a Structural Engineer
at least three feet above finished grade. The wall should be
designed in order tq reatin snow in the event of a snow-

2: Price to construction a soils Engineer should be retained

perimeter drain and the proper' parameters for the foun-

This is in response to your recent letter to Greg Thompson regarding the access
road to the Shohet property.
Our engineers had a opportunity to review the Shohet road and the duffing
which has taken place. Their opinion is to leave the slope in its natural
condition and maintain and clear the road when necessary. This may require you
clear the road several times in the spring or during prolonged wet periods. You
could line the edge of the road which buEta against the slope with large rocks
to keep some of the material off the road. They do not think a retaining. wall
is necessary or needed. If this road is properly maintained it wTl~provide
safe access to the property.
If you have any other questions,
