The is the first time we have gone through this process. We understand you need this in a timely manner. In talking with several past organizers, they
have suggested that because our event is on private properly this process may nol be necessary. So as no[ to take up too much of your time unnecessarily,
are there any other options? As president & vice president of the Redstone Community Association, we would be happy to visit with you.

Attendance is approzima[ed a[ roughly ] 00 people per day.There are generally about 20-30 volunteers on hand each day cowering
parking,gree[ing,announcing,tra0 main[aining.We have an instant command center and ambulance on hand as well as veterinarian.
Yes the even[ is open to the public with no entry fee charged. We do no[ need to limit spectators. The paricipating racers are limited to 20 teams.
Volunteers Lave experience, having participated for years.

We have been informed that Aaron Nationiewski, with the Colorado Mttsher Association,
has tentatively set the Sled Dog Races of Redstone for January 10 & 1 1, 2009. First and
foremost the RCA would like to ask for your permission to have this race on your
pro perry. We understand [hat the course boundaries need to be clearly defined and
maintained by the race personnel. We want to design a course that does not intrude on
your privacy as landowners.
]n the past, we have had problems due to the tack of communication. Our goal this year is
to avoid any maintenance neglect [hat has previously occurred. Our intention is to
continue this event and create an exciting as well as popular winter activity for the
community.
The Redstone Dog Sied Races began in the 1980's changing ]oe:ations several times,
creating new challenges and procedures. The good news is that over the years we have
created a large following and now the mushers as well as families that attend consider the
Redstone race to be the best. It has grown to be a popular "dog" holiday where kids can
bring their pets to participate in the agility course and dog parade on the boulevard. We
also provide an opportunity for dog shelters to bring rescue animals for adoption. This is
a full weekend for celebrating a love for dogs!
Please lei us know your concerns regarding this event. We will be following this letter
with a phone call so that we have a cleaz understanding of how to move forwazd.
