The purpose of this letter is to summarize the periinent terms of Pitkin County's arrangement
with you to provide the specified services enumerated in the following pazagraph. The
County's obligation under the Workers' Compensation Statute requires Pitkin County and
you to formalize the terms of tkis engagement in a notarized writing.

Tt is mutually agreed that the County does not have an erclusive right to your seivices and it
is contemplated that you may provide similar work to other businesses. governments and
non-profit organizations. You acknowledge that the work performed for Pitkin Counry wi❑
be that of an independent conRactor and that no employee�mployer re2ationship is created.
You have full conirol over how the services are performed and it is expected that work will
be conducted in accordance with industry standazds by applying professional judgment. The
County will provide, if necessary, documents and information to complete the work
described in the preceding parsgraph. The County representative signing this letter is
available to you to discuss any details related to this engagement. This letter of engagement
will terminate on December 31S` and will rcquire a new document in succeeding years to be

under this contract or;
2. Enter into a contract with a subcontractor that fails to certify to the
Contractor that the subcontractor shall not knowingly employ or
contract with an ille�al alien to perform work under this contract.
B. In compliance with House Bi1106-1343 and House Bill 07-10�3 enacted by the
General Assembly of the State of Colorado: ,
1. The Contractor has co�rcned or attempted to confirm the employment
eiigibi[ity of all employees who are ne�vly himd for employment in the United States
through pazticipation in the Basic Pilot Program [created in Public Law 208, 104th
Congress, or its successor and expanded in Public Law 156_ 108`h Congress, or its
successor, that is administered by the United States Departrnent of i3omeland
Security] and, if the Contractor is not accepted into the Basic Pilot Pro�;ram prior to
entering into this conVact. the Contractor shall apply to participate in the Basic Pilot
Program every three months until the Contractor is accepted or this contract has been
completed, �vhichever is earlier. This provision shall not be required or effective if
the Basic Pilot Program is discontinued.
2. Tha Conhactor shal] be prohibited &om using Basic Pilot Program
procedures to undertake pre-employment screening of job applicants while this
contract is being performed.
3. If the Contractor obtains actual knowledge that a subcontractor
performing �vork under this contract knowingly employs or contracts with an illegal
alien, the Contractor shall be required to:
a. Notify the subcontractor and the County within t}uee days that
the Contractor has actual knowledge that the subcantractor is employing or
contracting with an ilfegal atien; and
b. Terminate the subcontract with the subcontractor if �vithin
three days of receiving the notice required pursuant to sabparagraph (a? of this
paragraph (3 ) the subcontractor does not stop employing or eontracting with
the illegal aliens: except that the Contractor shall not terminate the contract
with the subcontractor if during such three days ihe subcontractor provides
informarion to establish that the subcontractor has not knowingly employed or
contraeted �vith an illegal alien. �
4. The Contractor shall comply with any reasonable request by Ihe Department
of Labor and Employment made in the course of an invesiigation that the Department of
Labor and Employment is undertaking pursuant to the authority established in Subsection
(5) of C.R.S. § 8-17.5-102.

The TASCAM CD-RW901 is a 3U rack-mountable dual-well CD Plsyer (well #1), CD
play�t/recordet (well i12). Both decks have indepmdent meters, 12 chatacter text display, and each
haa t malti-pmpose dial. Both decks are capable of auto-ready (pause at each treck ID), fader atnrt,
EOM elerts, and shutter-scrub (jog mo�) via multi-dial. Both wells utiliu a rugged TEAC
computer drive.
The CDRW-402 offers psrallel control and tally messages. User selecteble Fade In/Out. CD-Text
�nd transport conhol is aclrieved via FSl2 keyboard (input on &ont pene!). A hea�hone output
wivolume control allows monitoring of individual or both wells.

Qualiry and recording characterisrics of inedia from different
manufachuers will vary from br�nd to brand. TLis has to do with
the manufacluring grocesses of bodt the CD-R media and CD-R
mechanism. Some media that does not work well with one CD-R
mechanism may work nasonably well with anoth�r.
In order to take the guesswork out of selecting media, we are
posting an approved list of inedia for use with the CD-RW900. At
ihe time of this writing, media from each of these manufacturers
was written to �nd verified.
