Dear Jim,
Reference is heretiy made to a request for zoning variance
submittecF by &:r, & h;rs. Miles 0, Reich for the purpose of locating
a structure w-ahn less than the required 75 foot setback from the
right of way boundary df a publicly maintained highway. The site
in question is in an Agricultural and Forestry (A & F) District.

The Pitkin County Board o£ adjustment met 1lt, 1961, to
consider this request, and a quorum of Board members, consisting
of Dr, V3rgi1 could, Chairman J. S. Adams, F. ~. Anderson, and
J, P. Snobhle, was present.
The 'Board conducted a personal exa~iination of the $itesn
question, and, after discussion of the problem, voted that this
variance 'not be_granted. This non-approval was due to the fact
that the Board felt no valid hardship existed or would be created
by situating the proposed structure to conform with prescribed
setbacks,;
