HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.res.106.2001 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO,GRANTING SCENIC OVERLAY,SPECIAL REVIEW AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT EXEMPTION TO THE PITKIN COUNTY AIRPORT FOR A TEMPORARY FIREFIGHTING VEHICLE STRUCTURE Resolution No. 1,045 -2001 RECITALS 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County("Applicant"), as owner of the Pitkin County Airport, has applied to the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado(`BOCC")for Scenic Overlay, Special Review and GMQS Exemption for an Essential Accessory Use to Existing Government/Community Facility approval for the installation of a temporary 55' (long)X 3 P (wide) X 17' 10 %2 "(height) structure to house a second firefighting vehicle and associated equipment for the airport to be located on the south end of the Commercial Terminal at the Airport. 2. The Planning and Zoning Commission("Commission")at its regularly scheduled meeting on May 1,2001, reviewed the application, and a recommendation of approval was forwarded to the BOCC with conditions. 3. The BOCC heard this application at a duly noticed public hearingon June 13,2001, at which time evidence and testimony were presented with respect to this application. 4. The BOCC finds that the Applicant's proposal complies with the Pitkin County Land Use Code provided that conditions of this document are adhered to. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners that it does hereby grant approval to the Pitkin County Airport for Special Review Scenic Overlay and 0 GMQS Exemption for a temporary structure to store a firefighting vehicle adjacent to the main terminal, Z subject to the following conditions, which shall run with the land and be binding on all successors in interest: ia V Z l. The structure shall not exceed 17' 10 %2"above grade. The tunnel from the structure to the Commercial Terminal shall not exceed I F in height. The structure shall not exceed 3 F X 55' in size. oa �W m 2. Exterior lighting on the structure shall be prohibited. Interior lighting sources shall be prohibited ��4 m from being visible from the outside. The structure shall not be illuminated at night. DMZ �m m 3. The structure shall be removed after five years. The five-year period shall commence upon the issuance of a building permit for the structure. �mc 11111111111111�m 4. The exterior color of the structure shall be green as determined at the regular meeting on June N m l 3th, if it is readily available and in the same price range as the taupe. The Applicant is not required to submit annual reports attesting to conformance with the conditions of this approval as long as the specific use described herein is maintained. Resolution No. &L-2001 Page 2 7. All material representations made in the application shall be considered conditions of approval, unless amended herein. 8. Statutory vested rights for the approval contained herein are granted pursuant to the Pitkin County Land Use Code and Colorado Statutes, subject to the exceptions set forth in Pitkin County Land Use Code, § 4-140 and C.R.S., § 24-68-105.
