The Director finds that, to the extent applicable, the application complies with the standards in Subsection 4-30-50(i) of the Land Use Code. The shoot will take place 12/01/09 to 12/3/09. Filming will involve 4 people - a couple, the cameraman and a crew person and will be in various locations within the City of Aspen and Pitkin County. The locations within Pitkin County are: - Aspen Mountain (private property only) - Town of Ashcroft - Pine Creek Cookhouse APPLICANT: CCCM Projects LLC (thereafter, "Applicant") REPRESENTATIVE: Lisa Nann LOCATIONS: Aspen Mountain, Town of Ashcroft, Pine Creek Cookhouse (12700 Castle Creek Rd) PID # 2999-061-00-901. BACKGROUND: This is a shoot for HGNs Destination Design. CCCM Projects LLC will be film a couple on vacation in the Aspen area from December 1~` through the 3"° in various locations both in the City and County. A total of four (4) people will be involved in the shoot. The Applicant is also obtaining a permit for the USFS to film in the Town of Ashcroft. REFERRAL COMMENTS: The Application was referred to the following agenaes: Aspen Mountain (Aspen Skiing Company), Pitkin County Sheriff's Department (Tom Grady), USFS, Pine Creek Cookhouse (John Wi~ox) and the Town of Ashcroft (Aspen Historical Society & John Wilcox, who holds the winter permit for Ashcroft). The Aspen Skiing Company confirmed that filming was on private property only and approved the application. The Aspen Historical Society gave their approval, but referred the application to John Wilcox for final approval as he holds the winter permit for the Town of Ashcroft. John Wik:ox gave his approval to film at that location. STAFF COMMENTS: Pursuant to Subsection 3-200-030 of the Land Use Code, Applicant must demonstrate that adequate provisions have been made for all of the following: 1. The holder shall fully repair and bear the t xpense for all damage, other than ordinary wear and tear, to National Forest System lands, roads and t ails caused by the holders activities. 8. -~he holder has the responsibility of inspecting the use area and adjoining areas for dangerous trees, t anging limbs, and other evidence of hazardous conditions which would pose a risk of injury to i tdividuals. After securing permission from the authorized officer, the holder shall remove such hazards. 9. Tl.is permit may be revoked upon breach of any of the conditions herein or at the discretion of the al thorized officer. Upon expiration or revocation of this permit, the holder shall immediately remove all in provements except those owned by the United States, and shall restore the site within 1 day(s), unless of ierwise agreed upon in writing. If the holder fails to remove the improvements, they shall become the property of fhe United States, but that will not relieve the holder of liability far the cost of their removal and restoration of the site. 14. Tlris permit is a license for the use of federally owned land. It does not grant any interest in real property. TI ris permit is not transferable. The holder shall not enter into any agreements with third parties for occupancy of the authorized premises and improvements. 16. They have included three locations which fall under County jurisdiction for permitting: Skiing on Aspen Mountain, The Pine Creek Cook House, and the Town of Ashcroft. In addition to obtaining specific approvals in order to film from each property owner, the Applicant must obtain a 'permit' from the County.
