COUNTY, COLORADO, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE ASSIGNMENT
OF FM LICENSE K201AZ TO MERCER COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES (WWFM)

Recitals
1. Pitkin County operates and maintains a translator system to provide radio and
television signals to citizens in the Roaring Fork valley.
2. It has been a policy of the Board of County Commissioners, (the "BOCC) through the
Translator Advisory Board to provide diverse programming on the system.
3. At the request of many citizens, part of this diverse programming is the provision of a
classical format radio station.
4. WWFM radio has been used to provide classical format radio since July of 1999. In
order to continue providing these signals and remain in compliance with Federal law,
it is necessary for Pitkin County to assign its FM license K201 AZ to the Mercer
County Community College through its Board of Trustees. The Assignment of
License is attached as "Exhibit A".
5. The BOCC has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Pitkin
County to assign this license to WWFM.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained that the Board of County Commissioners of
Pitkin County, Colorado hereby authorize the assignment of FM license K201 AZ to
Mercer County Community College Board of Trustees (WWFM) and authorizes the
Chair to sign an agreement in substantially the form attached as Exhibit A, as
approved by the County Attorney.

THE ASPEN TIMES ON THE 12TH DAY OF MAY 2001.
PUBLISHED AFTER ADOPTION IN THE WEEKEND EDITION OF THE ASPEN
TIMES ON THE 2nd DAY OF JUNE 2001.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after publication following
final adoption by the Board.

ASSIGNMENT OF LICENSE
The County of Pitkin, Colorado, by its Board of County
Commissioner's for and on behalf of its Translator Department
("Assignor"), for good and valuable consideration, duly paid by the Mercer
County Community College Board of Trustees ("Assignee"), the receipt
and sufficiency of which is acknowledged, acting pursuant to such
parties' oral agreement, does hereby assign, transfer, convey, and deliver
to Assignee, any and all of Assignor's right, title and interest in and to all
licenses, permits, consents, franchises, and other authorizations issued
by the Federal Communications Commission to Assignor and necessary
for, or used in connection with the ownership and operation of
noncommercial FM broadcast translator station K201AZ (FCC I.D.
#52764), Carbondale, Colorado (the "Station"), which rebroadcasts the
signals of Assignee's noncommercial educational FM station WWFM,
Trenton, New Jersey.
