OK -- I'll call you. I hope we can find a reasonable solution. One that occurs to me is the
underground drip for graywater. If that's too pricey for now, maybe we'll just rough plumb
for a future shower and sink, and worry about connecting these to our water and septic
systems later. As long as it's family, they will probably eat and can also shower in our
house when they're here. Later if it becomes a caretaker or affordable housing rental, we
can worry about either resizing our septic or adding a small new one or something. Anyway,
I'll call you.

We do have a record from 1972. This system was sized for 3 bedrooms.
You mentioned your house had 4 - maybe one of the bedrooms wouldn't actually be considered a
bedroom, depending on access to a full or 3/4 bath? We can talk more about that - but it
does mean that your system is not sized properly to accommodate any "new" uses, including
plumbing that might be associated with a CDU. I'm happy to discuss this in more detail with
you at your convenience. Thank you,

Subject: RE: Boland
I did a little digging and according to the planning file, the approval the Boland's received
for an ADU in 1980 was to legalize a bandit unit in the garage. Therefore, before we approve
anything (building permit etc), we should do a walkthrough and see what all they really have.
According to the planning file they converted an existing garage into an ADU. There were
concerns at the time about proof of water and the OWTS.
Mike had anticipated getting her a pre -app but looking at what we have, I think she has maxed
out on 'legal' dwelling units. Let me know if you need me to speak with them or if you need
anything else, let me know
