Dear Mr. Kelly: As requested, Hepworth - Pawlak Geotechnical, Inc., performed percolation testing at the subject site. The testing was done in accordance with our agreement for professional services to you, dated May 21, 2003. A profile pit and three percolation holes were excavated at the locations shown on Figure 1. The test holes were dug in the bottom of shallow backhoe pits and were soaked by the client prior to our testing. The subsoils exposed in the percolation holes are similar to those exposed in the profile pit and consist of about'/2 foot of topsoil overlying slightly silty sandy gravel with cobbles and boulders to the pit depth of 8 feet. No free water was observed in the pits and the soils were slightly moist. Percolation testing was conducted on July 25, 2003, by a representative of Hepworth - Pawlak Geotechnical, Inc. The percolation test results are summarized on Table 1. The percolation test results indicate infiltration rates of 6 and 7 minutes per inch. Based on the subsurface conditions encountered and the percolation test results, the tested area should be suitable for a conventional infiltration septic disposal system. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please call our office. Sincerely, HEPWORTH - PAWLAK GEOT , INC. tPp0 Jordy Z. Adamson, Jr.,S129707 1, Rev.
