AGENDA ITEM TITLE: Resolution Appointing Members to the Planning and Zoning
Commission

SUMMARYOF ISSUE:
Ben Genshaftappeared before the Board of County Commissioners on February 23rd, 2010to be
interviewed for appointment to the Planning and Zoning Citizen Board. At thattimethe only position
available was an alternate position. Recently Mike Augello resigned from his regular position on the
P&Z Board. John Howard is currently an alternate on the P&Z Board and wishes to fillthe regular
position left vacant by Mr. Augello’s resignation.The Board discussed these appointments at the April
27, 2010 Work Session and asked that these appointments be made.
The resolution has been prepared for appointmentsto this Citizen Board and is attached for your
review.
BOCC RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Resolution Appointing John Howard as a
regularmember and Ben Genshaftasan alternatemember to the Planning and Zoning Citizen Board.

RECITALS
1.Volunteer Citizen Boards are established per the Home Rule Charter and State
Statute.
2.The Board of County Commissionerswishes to make the following appointments
to the Planning and Zoning Citizen Board.
3.Theseappointmentsareeffective as of this date April 28, 2010
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Pitkin County, Colorado, that the following appointmentsaremade:
