Reason for Chanee 'This pmject is a continuarion of the 2009 jail generatar project which is to connect the jail generator to the courthouse server room to protect city and county network systems and equipment The County Manager has approved the sole source contracting with Durgin for this upgade (see attached). The County has an annual service coniract with Durgin Electric for ail county owned facilities. Durgin Elech�ic has a working knowledge of the courthouse, the jail and the new data center. By hirmg them to do this work to connect alt three buildings the county will ensure consistency and quality work which wil! benefit tlte county for future maintenance and upgrades. "Standardization and consistency" The County will also saves money and time by hiring Durgin for this project as they have already spent several hours planning, troubleshooting and assisting the general conttactor, electrica! engineer, and community development electrical inspectors with design and installation and placement of the conduit and specifica6ons for the connection. They already have a comprehensive understanding of the project Orieinal Contract Price: Hourlv Rate not to exceed $25,000.
