PROVIDING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS TO THE
1999 BUDGET FOR THE DESIGN CONTRACT FOR STILLWATER
AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECT

Recitals
1) A portion of unappropriated payment -in -lieu -of -housing fund balance is available for
unanticipated expenditures that occur during the year; and
2) A contract for design services for the Stillwater Ranch project has been negotiated
with Michael Fuller Architects, P.C., after procurement: and
3) Upon due and proper notice, published in accordance with the law, said supplemental
budget was open for inspection by the public at a designated place, a public hearing was held on
May 26, 1999, and interested taxpayers were given an opportunity to file or register any objections
to said supplemental budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin
County, Colorado that adjustments be made to the 1999 budget as follows:

The Board of County Commissioners has approved preliminary planning and predevelopment costs
of $200,000 for the design of the Stillwater Ranch Affordable Housing project. This phase includes
a workplan to formulate a design and submit a conceptual application for the project. Selection of
an architect and design team has occurred. The County owns lot # 1; therefore the County must
share in the utility improvements that the Stillwater Homeowners Association has made within the
subdivision. The County's estimated share of these costs totals $ 50,000. County payment -in -
lieu -of -housing reserve will fund this preliminary design phase of the project.
