The Pitkin Counry Landscaping Construction Contract (the "Agreement") dated October
l, 2010 between Pitkin County (the "County") and Landscape Workshop, Inc, (the
"Conaactor"), is hereby amended as follows:
II. Scope of lYork and Worlc Schedule is amended to add:
• Temunal and airside landscaping and irrigarion maintenance per the
attac6ed Exhibits A and B, not to exceEd SS I,570.00.
• Airport operations center landscaping and irrigtation maintenance per the
Attached Fachibit C, not to exceed $15,570.00.

A. In compliance with House Bill 06-1343 and House Bil107-1073 amending Title 8
of the Colorado Revised Statutes by the addition of Article 17.5, Dlegal Aliens-Public Contract
for Services, enacted by the General Assembly of t6e State of Colorado, the Contractor sha!! not:
Knowingly employ or contract with an illegal alien to perform work under
this contract or;
2. Enter into a contract with a subconvactor that fails to certify to the
Contractor t6at the subcontractor sitall not knowingly employ or confract
with an illegal alien to perfortn work under this contract.
B. ln compliance with House Bill 06-1343 and House Bill 07-1073 enacted by the
General Assembly of the State of Colorado:
I. The Contractor has confinned or aftempted [o contirtn die employment
eligibility of all employees who are newly lured for employment in the United States
through paRicipation in the Basic Pilot Program [created in Public Law 208, 104th
Congress, or its successor and expanded in Public Law 156, 108` Congress, or its
successor, thai is administered by the United States Deparlment of Homeland Security]
and, if tite Contractor is not accepted into the Basic Pilot Program prior to entering into
this contract, the Contractor shall appiy to particip�ate in the Basic Pilot Program every
three months until the Corttractor is accepted or this contract has been completed,
whichever is earlier. This provision shall not be required or effective if the Basic Pilot
Program is discontinued.
2. The Convactor shall be prohibited from using Basic Pilot Prograzn
procedures to undectake pre-employment scrcening of job appticants while this contract
is being performed.
3. If the ConuacWr obtaios actuel knowledge t6at a subcontractor performing
work under this contract knowingly employs or contracts with an illegal alien, the
Contractor shall be required to:
a. Notify the subcontractor and the County within three days that the
Conuactor has actual knowlcdge t6at the subcontractor is employing or
contracting with an illegal alien; and
b. Terminate the subconvnct with the subcontractor if within three
days of receiving the notice required pursuant to subparag�aph (a) of this
pa►ag►aph (3) the subcontractor dces not stop employing or contracting with the
illegal aliens; except that the Cont�actor shall not terminate the contract with the
subcontractor if during such thrce days the subcontractor provides information to
establish that the subcontractor has not knowingly employed or contracted with an
illegal alien.
4. The Contractor s6a11 comply with any reasonable raquest by the Department of
Labor and Employment made in the course of an investigation that the Department of Labor
and Employment is undertaking pursuant to the suthority established in Subsection (5) of
C.R.S. § 8-17.5-102.
In alt other respects the Agreement is in full force and effect and remains unchanged by
this Amendment.

Our grounds maintenance scope of work shall be per the attached "Grounds Maintenance
Schedule of Operations°. The maintenance period shell begin on May 16, 2011, and continue until
the end of the growing season or Odober 1, 2011.
