SUMMARYOF ISSUE:
At the January 4, 2011 joint meeting with Aspen City Council,Cathy Markle and Rick Head were
interviewed by the BOCC and the Aspen City Council for the position of joint alternate on the Housing
Authority Citizen Board. There was no decision made at this meeting to appoint either candidate. The
BOCC and CityCouncil have indicated a preferenceto appoint Cathy Markleat this time.
The Board interviewed Rudi Scheidt, Jr.at the April 5, 2011 Work Session for regular positions on
both the Financial Advisory Board and the Senior Services Council. The Board instructed staff to
prepare a resolution to appoint Mr. Scheidt to both Boards.
BOCC RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the Resolution Appointing Cathy Markle as joint
alternateto the Housing Authority Citizen Board, Rudi Scheidt, Jr. to the Financial Advisory Board
and the Senior Services Council.

1.Volunteer Citizen Boards are established per the Home Rule Charter and State Statute.
2.The Board of County Commissionerswishes tomake the following appointmentsto the
Housing Authority Board, Financial Advisory Board and the Senior Service Council.
3.Thisappointmentiseffective as of this date April 13, 2011
