AGENDA ITEM TITLE: Resolution Appointing Commissioner Rob Ittner as the Representative
and Commissioner George Newman as the Alternate Representative on the Northwest Colorado
Council Of Governments (NWCCOG) Economic Development District Board

DESCRIPTION OF ISSUE:
NWCCOG’s process to form an Economic Development District is well underway. Because of
tight timeframes, NWCCOG must constitute the Economic Development District Board of
th
Directors at the July 28 NWCCOG meeting following passage of the Amendments to the
Articles of Association.
At the work session on July 19, 2011, the Board of County Commissioners discussed these
appointments to the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments Economic Development District
Board and wishes to make the following appointments.
Rob Ittner – Regular Member
George Newman - Alternate

work with citizen groups and other jurisdictions in order to identify a shared vision(s) for the region.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the Resolution Appointing Commissioner Rob Ittner as
the Representative and Commissioner George Newman as the Alternate Representative on the
Northwest Colorado Council of Governments Economic Development District Boar

COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO,
APPOINTING COMMISSIONER ROB ITTNER AS THE REPRESENTATIVE AND
COMMISSIONER GEORGE NEWMAN AS THE ALTERNATE REPRESENTATIVE ON THE
NORTHWEST COLORADO COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT BOARD

RECITALS
1. The Pitkin County Commissioners are the duly elected representatives of the voters of Pitkin
County.
2. As such, the Pitkin County Commissioners serve on various Boards, Committees, and
Authorities concerned with significant local issues and activities. At their work session on July 19,
2011 the Board of County Commissioners discussed these appointments to the Northwest Colorado
Council of Governments Economic Development District Board and wishes to make the following
appointments.
Rob Ittner – Regular Member
George Newman - Alternate
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that these appointments are to be effective immediately and
will remain in effect for until January 1, 2013 unless it is necessary to change such appointments at a
later time, which will be done by subsequent Resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED ON THE 27th day of July, 2011.
