RECITALS
1. Eagle County appointments to the Basalt Library Board must be ratified by the Pitkin County
Board of County Commissioners.
2. The Eagle County representative for the Basalt Library Board is Christine Tinner
3. This appointment is effective as of July 13, 2011
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin
County, Colorado, to ratify the Eagle County appointment of Christine Tinner to the Basalt Regional
Library Board of Trustees.

COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO 2011 - 05
RESOLUTION CONCERNING AN
APPOINTMENT TO THE
BASALT REGIONAL LIBRARY DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, pursuant to C.S.R. 24- 90- 108(c), the legislative body of the respective
participating counties of the district shall appoint members to the library district board of
trustees; and .
WHEREAS, Carol Dresner, who was appointed by Resolution 2007 -036, and whose
term will expire on March 1, 2012, has elected to resign from the Basalt Library District Board
of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, the Basalt Regional Library District has recommended the appointment of
Christine Tinner (letter of recommendation and supporting documents attached hereto as Exhibit
A) to fulfill term, said to expire March 1, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County desires to appoint
Christine Tinner as one of the Eagle County representatives to the Basalt Regional Library
District Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, the following appointment does not constitute a contractual obligation of
the County of Eagle or the Board, and the County is not legally bound for the respective terms of
appointment as specified herein below, the County having the authority in its sole discretion to
change, add or abolish such appointment and to fill vacancies as it sees fit.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, Christine Tinner be and is hereby appointed as an Eagle County representative to
the Basalt Regional Library District Board of Trustees for said term to expire March I, 2012 or
until such time as she is reappointed or her successor has been appointed.
THAT, a copy of this Resolution be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners of
the County of Pitkin, State of Colorado for their concurrence.
THAT, the Board of County Commissioners finds determines and declares that this
Resolution is necessary for the public health safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of
Eagle State of Colorado.
MOVED READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the County
of Eagle State of Colorado at its regular meeting held the ?J day of jfigay, 2011.

• The Basalt Regional Library Board of Trustees voted to recommend Christine Tinner as a
member of the BRLD Board of Trustees at its May 9th meeting as an Eagle County
Representative to complete Carol Dresner's term. I hope you will accept this nomination of
Christine Tinner as an Eagle County Representative of the Basalt Regional Library Board of
Trustees and officially appoint her as such at your earliest convenience.
