HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.res.003.1971 RESOLUTION 003 / 9 9 / WHEREAS, the condition of the runway at Sardy Field makes the resurfacing thereof necessary, and WHEREAS, it will be necessary to close said runway during the < - resurfacing operation commencing July 19, 1971, and WHEREAS, the duration of the closure of said runway will be a period of approximately two weeks, and WHEREAS, it is highly desirable that scheduled air service between Denver and Aspen be continued during said period, and WHEREAS, it is with the understanding that the Federal Aviation Administration approves the operation of Rocky Mountain Airways, Inc. scheduled air service with 300 Series Otter aircraft, and said aircraft meets all applicable safety regulations by using the taxiway adjacent to said runway. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County that during the period of closure of the Sardy Field runway for resurfacing, the scheduled air service of Rocky Mountain Airways, Inc. utilizing the 300 Series Otter aircraft may be continued by using the taxiway adjacent to said runway for landing and takeoff.
