NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
that the Board of County Commissioners
of Pitkin tounty, Colorado, go on
record as being opposed to Wilderness
designation for any of the Uncompahgre
Primitive Area.
Internal Auditor Kleeman was instructed to
write letters to all auto rental agencies and
anyone else affected, that all rental cars and
all public conveyances be requested to have snow
tires mounted and chains available with all
vehicles.
The next matter to come before the Board of
County Commissioners was a request by Helen
Zordel, the Pitkin County Treasurer, that the
1952 real property taxes on Lot D, in Block
84, City and Townsite of Aspen be cancelled.
The reason she stated for the request for
cancellation was that she had issued a Certifi-
cate of Taxes due with respect to that property
showing that all taxes were paid to date.
A full discussion was held and upon motion
duly made and seconded, the following resolution
was unanimously adopted:

that the 1952 real property taxes in 1 ` -ZZ...1 C) ?!
the amount of $4.52 on Lot D, in Block
84, City and Townsite of Aspen, Pitkin
County, Colorado, be and the same here-
by are cancelled.
The next matter to come before the Board of
Pitkin County Commissioners was the written
request of Robert G. Stevens that the County
offer, at public auction, its 3 /22nds interest
in the Little Cloud Lode Claim, U.S.M.S. 9025,
Roaring Fork Mining District, Pitkin County,
Colorado.
Mr. Stevens explained to the Board of
County Commissioners that this property had been
transferred to Pitkin County by virtue of a
