HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.res.026.1971 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PITKIN COUNTY December 27, 1971 PRESENT: Commissioners Baxter, Vagneur, County Attorney Oates and Internal Auditor Kleeman II I Marion Stewart, Pitkin County Welfare Director, presented a monthly report of the activities of her department. The next matter to come before the Board of 1 Pitkin County Commissioners was the matter of the public sale of the County's 3/22nd interest in the Little Cloud Lode claim, U.S.M.S. 9025, Roaring Fork Min - ing District, Pitkin County, Colorado. After dis- cussion, the following resolution was unanimously approved: RESOLUTION 6 ,24, -Agin l WHEREAS, the Board of Pitkin County Commissioners did publish notice of a public sale for the sale of Pitkin County's 3 /22nd , interest in and to the Little Cloud Lode claim, U.S.M.S. 9025, Roaring Fork Mining District, Pitkin County, Colorado, December 9, 1971, advising the public of the County's intention to sell such property, and WHEREAS, that a copy of such notice of public sale was conspicuously posted outside "' the Commissioners meeting room in the Pitkin County Court Hourse, in Aspen, Colorado at all time between November 24, 1971 and the time of sale as hereinafter specified, WHEREAS, the said Board did conduct the sale so advertised on the South front steps of the Pitkin County Court House in Aspen, Colorado on 2:00 P.M. on the 27th day of December, 1971, and i WHEREAS, the high bid received thereon was the sum of $1,650.00, which amount was bid by Robert G. Stevens, and WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Assessor certified to the Board of Pitkin County Commissioners that the appraised value of the property above described is $70.00 1 —I - f- PPRzrv i 1 r-.a 2 --f q 7/ December 27, 1971 COMMISSIONERS MINUTES NOW, THEREFORE, upon motion duly made and seconded, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: BE IT RESOLVED, that the bid of the said Robert Stevens in the amount of $1,650.00 be, and the Same hereby is accepted by the Board of Pitkin County Commissioenrs, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that T.J. Sardy, Chairman of the Board of Pitkin County Commissioners and Commissioner authorized to convey by earlier resolution of this Board r• be and hereby is directed to issue a quit claim deed of the County to the said Robert G. Stevens pursuant to provisions of subsection (7) of 147 -9 -43 C.R.S. 1963 as amended, %go upon the tender of the said Robert G. Stevens to the County of the sum of $1,650.00 plus advertising and recording cost. Jim Moore of Moore Realty was present to request snow removal on the road in Mountain Valley Filing #2 because the developer would not remove the snow. The Commissioners agreed to consider the request. Chairman Sardy arrived. Jim Woods of Snowmass at Aspen presented a one lot subdivision (site) plat of Top -O- Village for approval. The Commissioners did not approve the plat as it had not been approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Board certified Delinquent Street and Sidewalk assessments from the City of Aspen. Rolf Poprowski presented his proposal for a community ambulance. Commissioner Baxter stated that the Commissioners had to decide if an ambulance service was really a County function. Commissioners are to activate the Aspen Valley Ambulance Association. Chairman Sardy stated that he thought the hospital should maintain and run the ambulance. Commissioner Baxter reported that he had received nr a bid from Wheeler Chevrolet in the amount of $2,985.46 for a Sheriff's vehicle.
