On complaint of R. F. Roberts concerning charge made for use of Tractor, the bill rendered
for said use was reduced from 8 Hr $24.00 to 4 Hr. $12.00. By resolution.
The report of the County Clerk for December 1940 was approved.
The reports of the County Judge and Clerk District Court were presented.
An abatement petition from Worth Alien and Frank r. Lynch, Attorneys for various specialty
car companies, E & C Building, Denver for years 1939 and prior years thereto was received.
;Said petition stating " should be abated. The car companies involved and the amount
of tax levied against each company has been heretofore forwarded to your county, together with
;',,a letter signed by Worth Allen and Frank r. Lynch, Jr., dated August 1, 1940, and together wit
Ii the Circular letter No. 8, dated August 8, 1940, of the Colorado State Tax Commission. The
ligrounds for the abatement are more particularly stated in the letter of August 1, 1940,
which said letter is incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof.
The car companies hereby respectfully offer twenty -five percent (25 %) of the principal
;amounts of the delinquent taxes for the years 1939 and all years prior thereto."
No action taken.
The semi - annual report of the County Treasurer as to warrants paid and receipts and
;disbursements was presented. The Board thereupon examined said report and cancelled said warrants,
