The Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado,'met at 10:00 A. M. Monday
June 2, 1941, with the following members present: Orest A. Gerbaz, Chairman; George W. Smith,
Commissioner; Boyd R. King, Commissioner; M. M. Neihardt, Clerk. '
The minutes of the meeting held May 17, 1941 were read and approved.
The following offers for tax sale certificates and taxes up to and including 1939 accepted:

The reports of the, Clerk of the District Court and the County Judge were presented.
The Report of the County Clerk for the month of May 1941 was approved.
By Resolution duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided that hereafter'no offer
for tax sale certificate should be considered unless said offer was $5.00 or more '
A letter from the Aspen State Bank was received as follows
Board of County Commissioners Pitkin County, Colorado Gentlemen:
Sheriff Frank Bruin has paid all'indebtedness to bank aad'this will be your
authority to mak, warrants for salary due him, payable to him, or his order. We are no long-
er entitled to have warrants drawn in our favor. Yours truly Aspen State Bank by D.W.Shores,Caahier
An order from Frank Bruin assigning his warrants to Tim'Kelieher for the
months of June to December 1941, inclusive, was accepted by the Board.
A resolution was duly made seconded and carried that the County would sponsor a W P A
Project for the Pitkin County Free Library, the County's contribution being the .2 mill -levy. '
The appointapant of P. F. Thomas as Deputy County Clerk for the months of June, duly and
August, 1941 was approved by the Board on due motion, second and vats.
The Board by resolution, unanimously passed, gave its consent to the removal of the old
buildings'( Cabin and barn) just above the mouth of'Lincoln Creek so far as the County is
concerned, but not guaranteeing Cgunty'a ownership. These are the buildings usually referred
to as "County Cabins ". .
The Clerk was instructed to request the City Council and City Clerk to write the Highway _,_ E
Department instructing them to pay the Aspen 3% money to the Special Road F ' ( p und of Pitkin Co 0 -"
