Pursuant to Section 3-200-080 of the Land Use Code,Joanna Schaffner and Larry Doble ("Applicant")have applied to the Community Development Director of Pitkin County,Colorado ("Director")to amend a condition of Resolution No. 161-2000 to allow one additional event for up to 125 people at the Flying Dog West Ranch reception/meeting facility on Saturday,August H,2001. The Director has chosen to forward this request to the Board of County Commissioners(`BOCC")for review. 2. Condition#5A of Resolution No. 161-2000 restricts the facility to a maximum of 40 functions per calendar year, subject to the following limitations: A. Maximum of 3 functions per week,only 1 of which may accommodate more than 50 attendees; B. Maximum of 10 functions of up to 150 attendees per year, 5 of which may have amplified music and 5 of which may not have amplified music;with no more than 2 events of up to 150 attendees in any month; C. Maximum of 10 functions of up to 100 attendees per year; D. Maximum of 20 functions of less than 50 attendees per year. 3. 10 functions of up to 150 attendees have already occurred or have been booked,therefore,the Applicant's wedding reception was to be limited to a maximum of 100 attendees. However,the Applicant has realized that the wedding will exceed the limitation by approximately 25 people, including guests,band and catering staff. 4. The Applicant requests that the BOCC permit one additional function of up to 125 attendees with amplified music. The function will count as one of the functions of up to 100 attendees per year, as well as one of the 40 functions allowed annually. 5. The BOCC considered the request at a regular meeting on July 11,2001. 6.
