HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.min.reg.04151947 182 April 16th 1947 - - -- The Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, met at 10:00 A. M., Friday April 18th, 1947 with the following members present: Clarence 0. Quam, Chairman; George W. Smith, Commissioner; Crest A. Gerbaz, Commissioner; Wm C. Stapleton, Acting Clerk. The minutes of the meeting held April 7, 1947 were read and approved. The resignation of E. L. Shaw who has served as County Surveyor 'was read and approved by the Board. The matter of closing the County Court House Offices on Saturday afternoons was discussed, and on considering that all other County Offices in the State closed on Saturday afternoon's and that Pitkin County was the last County in the State to adopt this ruling, it was agreed by the Board that all County Offices should close Saturday afternoon's effective as of April , 18, 1947. All applications for Liquor Licenses were considered and after discussion it was decided to Table all Licenses till June 2, 1947. Bills were audited, approved and ordered aid from the following funds as follows: Paid from the Old Age Pension Fund $6,597.55 Paid from State Spec. Relief Fund 134.70 Paid from Blind Fund 75.00 Paid from Aid to Dep. Children Fund 121.00 Paid from Administrative Fund 490.36 Paid from Poor Fund El Paso County Dept.
