HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.min.reg.09071948 220 September 7, 1948 The Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, met at 10:00 O'clock A.M., Tuesday September 7, 1948 the day preceding being a legal holiday, with the following members present: Orest A. Gerbaz, Chairman; George W. Smith, Commissioner; Clarence 0. Quam, Commiss- ioner; C. H. Darrow, County Attorney; Wm C. Stapleton Clerk. The minutes of the Meeting's held August 3, and August 18, 1948 were read and approved. The following offers for tax sale certificates were accepted: $50.00 for Certificate 1478 of 1900 for 1899 on Lots G and H Block #104 Aspen (Louis T. Pecjak) $5.00 for Certificate 15 of 1919 for 1918 on Lots R & S Block #73 Aspen (F. W. Kalme:) 5.00 for Certificate 20 of 1908 for 1907 on Lots O,P,Q,R & S Block #73 Aspen (F. W. Kalmes ) '5.00 for Certificate 16 of 1907 for 1906 on Lots O,P,Q,R & S Block #73 Aspen (F. W. Kalmes) The report of the service officer was examined, approved and signed. Reports of County Judge, Clerk of District Court and County Clerk for Month of August were received and approved. The County Treasurer was instructed to transfer the sum of X3000.00 from the State Special Road Fund to the Special Roads (Highway) Fund. Upon motion the County Commissioners recommended to the Pitkin County Hospital Board that they make application for inspection and approval bf Pitkin County Hospital to become a membe of the Blue Cross Association. The amount of $392.28 was received from the Department of Interior to Reimburse Pitkin County for the sum of money expended from the Ordinary Fund to fight a fire in Arbany Gulch. Said amount was deposited to account of Ordinary Fund from whence it originated.
