Quam, Chairman; Orest A. Gerbaz and T. J Sardy, Commissioners; Wm C. Stapleton, Acting Clerk. The minutes of the meetings held December 19 and December 28, 1949 were read and g . approved. II!� The Reports of the County Clerk, Clerk of the District Court and County Court were approved[ and signed. The report of the Service officer was examined, approved and signed. The following offers for tax sale certificates was accepted: 30.00 for Certificate No. 12 of sale of 1949 on Lot "I" Block 31 East Aspen (W. Luther) 50.00 for Certificate No. 13 of sale of 1949 on Lot "D" Block 101 Aspen ( R. Murri) 25.00 for Certificate No. 14 of sale of 1949 on Lot "I" Block 104 Aspen ( A. Slaven4 The following bills were audited, approved and ordered paid from the various funds as follows: BUILDING & IMPROVEMENT FUND t. Utilities Corp. Ser. 67.86 E. H. Utilities Corp Ser. 37.95 Ralph Earnest " 50.00 Mrs. John Jurick Turkey 9.80 Mtn. States T. & T. Co.40.60 The above minutes were approved. No further business appearing the Board adjourned sine die. A ` 1,� L ( January 11950 /` The following duly qualified members of the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, met at 11 :00 A.M. January 3, 1950 for the purpose of organi4ing for the year 1950. Thomas J. Sardy, District No. 1; Orest A. Gerbaz District No. 2; Clarence 0. Quam District No. 3; M. M. Neihardt, County Clerk & Recorder and Ex- Officio Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners by Wm C. Stapleton Deputy. At a suggestion of the Clerk the Board appointed Mr. Clarence 0. Quam to serve as Temporary Chairman. Commissioner T. J. Sardy was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Board for the ensuing year and he at once took the chair. Orest A. Gerbaz was nominated and unanimously elected to serve as Vice - Chairman for the ensuing year. The following road overseers were re- appointed for the year 1950 or during the pleasure of 1 the Board: John F. Snyder; Claude Crowley; Alfred R. Whitbeck. Clifford H. Darrow was re- appointed as County Attorney for 1950 or during the pleasure of the Board, at a Salary of $75.00 per month plus mileage. The Aspen Times was designated as the Official Newspaper of Pitkin County. Otto Johnson was appointed Custodian of County Property at a salary of $130.00 per Month. Milton G. Conner was reappointed as Service Officer at the salary of $75.00 per Month. Orest A. Gerbaz Nominated Dr. Allen M. Cochrane to serve as County Physician for the ensuing year and he was unanimously elected. Mrs. Dorothy K. Shaw was appointed as a Member of the Pitkin County Library Board for the I ensuing term of 4 years. Mr. Curtis Slavens was appointed a Member of the Hospital Board to serve for the ensuing term of five years expiring on the Second Tuesday of January 1955.
