ABATEMENT RECOMMENDATION
FROM THE APPRAISER
ASSESSOR GENERATED TAXPAYER GENERATED_XX
To: Tom Isaac, Pitkin County Assessor
From: Larry Fite
Date: 4/27/01
Petitioner: _ Alfred Braun H ut System
Schedule #: 16200
Parcel #: 29g7 144 On n52
The appraiser has completed a review of the referenced property, as of this date, and hereby submits a
recommendation as stated below:
Denial XX Approved as Submitted
Abatement/Refund Different than requested
Assessment Rate: 29%
Year#1 for 2000 Year#2 for 19
TAC 011 Mill Rate 24.375 TAC Mill Rate
Assessed Value Tax Amount Assessed Value Tax Amount
Orig: $64,290 $1,567.06 $ $
Abate: $0 $0
Bal: $64,290 $1,567.06 $ $
THE BASIS OF THIS RECOMMENDATION IS: The Department of Property Taxation determines the tax
exempt status for all exempt properties and provides a list to each county of the exempt properties in that
county. For whatever reason, the Alfred Braun Hut System has allowed their exempt status to lapse. With
the property documentation provided to the state, their exempt status can be reinstated and typically
retroactively. However, until the Assessor's office receives notice from the state, this property will have to
be treated as taxable.
