HEMANN, INC, SAND AND GRAVEL PERMIT RESOLUTION e1.5- ake ti WHEREAS, Pitkin County, Colorado has adopted a Sand and Gravel ww Regulation which is now in effect, and WHEREAS, P. B. Hemann, Inc. has applied for a gravel permit for the Goff Placer Pit under provisions of said regulation, and WHEREAS, Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission has studied said application under the provisions of said Sand and Gravel Regulation, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning and Zoning Commission hereby recommends that the Pitkin County Board of Commissioners grant to P. B. Hemann, Inc. a permit to conduct operations limited to gravel excavations in the area delineated on a map which shall be attached to said permit and that said permit shall be valid for a period of five (5) years, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommends said permit be subject to the following conditions which said commission recommends be specified in a written agreement with P.B. llemann I► Inc.. 1. All requirements set forth in the Pitkin County Sand and Gravel Regulation shall be observed; 2. No operation within, or disturbance of, the bed of the Roaring Fork River shall occur as a result of the pit operation; 3. A berm separating the river from the pit operation shall be constructed during periods of operation; 4. The permit shall be granted for gravel extraction only and that equipment at the Goff Placer Pit shall be restricted to that needed for gravel extraction and removal; womemeimpowesemeemeenee /5. The entrance to Highway 82 be improved by P.B. Hemann, Inc. according to a plan approved by the Forest Service and State Highway Depart- ment. 14. All junk and trash shall be removed; 7. Provision shall be made and performance bond posted for the amount of $500.00 per acre to guarantee rehabil'tation as shown on a plan to accompany the aforementioned agreement. 8. Exception be made to consider a Hot-mix plant in the event the Highway Department should decide to overlay Highway 82 between Difficult Campground and City of Aspen.
