NOTICE OF PUBUC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: A Public hearing on a
Service Plan for the proposed Aspen Historic
Park and Recreytion District Service Plan will be �
held before the Pitlon Cou�ty Board of Commis-
sioners, County ot Pitldn, State of Colorado, at
2:00 PM on May 11, 2005 at the Plaza 1 bleeting
Room, Courthouse Plaza Building, 530 East Main
Street, Aspen, Colorado, 81611.
The Purpose of the public hearing shall be to
consider the adequacy of the Service Plan relat-
ing to the organization of the Aspen Historic Park
and Recreation District and to form a basis for
adopting a Resolution approving, conditionally
approving, or disapproving the Service�. Plan.
There is no maximum levy that may be imposed �
by the proposed special district.
The proposed District is Iocated within and gen-
erally shazes a common boundary with the Aspen
School District. A complete legal description of
the proposed Special DistriM has been provided
by the Petitioner to Pitkin CounTy and is available
for public inspection at the offices of the Pitldn
County Clerk and Recorder.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that in accorda�ce
with the procedures set forth in Section 32-2-
203(3.5), C.R.S., the owner of any real prpperty
within the boundaries of the proposed ilistrlct
may submit to the Pitkin County Commissioners,
no later then ten (10} days prior to the date of
hearing, a request that such property be �exclud-
ed (rom the proposed District. The Bcard ot
County Commissioners may e�cclude territory
from a propased special district prior to appro
val of the service plan submitted by the petition-
ers o( a proposed special district. The petitioners
shall have the burden of proving that the exclu-
sion of such property is not in [he beat interests
ot the proposed special district. The Board of
.county Commissioners shall not be limited in i[s
action with respect to exclusion of trrritory
based upon such request. My request for exclu-
sion shall be acted upon 6efore final action of the
Cowty Commissioners under Section 32-1-205,
C.R.S.
