Resolution No. 78-(g7
A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL SiIMS OF MONEY TO DEFRAY EXPENSES
IN EXCESS OF AMOUNTS BUDGETED FOR TIiE BUDGET YEAR 1978 FOR PITKIN
COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, Pitkin County sold all of its old voting machines in the latter
part of 1977 with the revenues being recorded in 1977 totaling $ 15,750.
WFIEREAS, new computer type voting machines were purchased and paid for in
1978 totaling $ 14,655 for down payment and first year installment, with only the
' first years installment of $ 4,000 being budgeted.
WHEREAS, the zevenues of the sale are sufficient to cover the down payment
and first installment on the new machines.
WHEREAS, this contingency could not have reasonably been foreseen at the
time of the preparation of the 1978 Budget as the sale of old equipment was not
complete at that time.
NOW, TfiEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the budgeted revenues for the
_ General Fund be incYeased by $ 10,655 as a trans£e= from fund surplus and that
budgeted Expenditures be also increased by $ 10,655 in the Clerks department in
line item It 00110-86664.
