AMENDMENT TO THE HOME RULE CHARTER
" �, CONCERNING LOCAL ELECTIONS

� WFIEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has been
� advised by the County Clerk that certain ambiguities exist
��g" with respect to the manner in which candidates for local
e
office are listed on the County's election ballots, ambig-
r uities which can be easily eliminated by a minor amendment
��
�; � to the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter,
� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
� Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, that there be
�
.. � submitted to the qualified electors of Pitkin County on
'` November 7, 1978, the following question.
� .
Shall the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter be amended
� by the addition of Section 6.3.6 to read as follows:
� 6.3.6 In the event of more than one candidate for any
County elective office, the names of such
� candidates shall be placed on the ballot in
$� alphabetical order.
