ferred to as the "COUnty") to be completed during the Calendar Year 197B: �

W I T N E S S E T H: �

WHEREAS, the County and Aspen Leaves, Inc. wish to promote
the cultural opportunities for the local community through the support of 5
a sperial issue of "Aspen Anthology" which will contain the work of +
Colorado writers, and �

WHEREAS, Aspen Leaves, Inc.. has demonstrated its ability to ;
perform the service of publishing quality pul�Zications, and ;�
�

WHSREAS, the parties wish to establish a method of payment y
for these services � .

NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual benefits to �
Ue derived herefrom, the parties hereto agree as follows: �

Section 1. Seroices to be Performed "

A) Aspen Leaves, Inc, shall provide all services and technical arrange- �
ments to publish a special issue of "Aspen. Anthology" which will con- }
j
tain the work of Colorado writers �
�
B) Aspen Leaves, Inc. shall provide matching funds for this special issue !
of "Aspen Anthology" from grant applications that they will be res- � ,
ponsible for obtaining. �
�

C) Aspen Leaves, Inc. wi11 acknowledge the contribution £rom the County
in this special issue.
D) Aspen Leaves, Inc, will make available to the Pit�cin County Library
a copy of this special issue for local citizen use. j
Section 2. Payment for Services Performed
�
A) Pitkin County shall pay Aspen Leaves, Inc. a maximum of $750 (seven `
_ hundred and fifty dollars) upon receipt of the completed publication
and an accounting of expenditures �or the special issue,

B) Should expenditures for this special issue be less than $1,500
(fifteen hundred dollars) , which is the amount of the Pitkin County
payment plus the matching grant, the County shall be responsible for
- only 50� of the total cost of this service.
� C. Should Aspen Leaves, Inc. encounter additional expenses in the
publication of this special issue of "Aspen Anthology", those costs
shall not be in any way construed to be a liability of the County.
