>�' THIS AGREEMENT is entered into as of May 22, 1978 between
the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County and Basalt �;
•:� Lions Club. ,�

m^; WHEREAS, the Basalt Lions Club sponsors a summer recreation �
�% program for the children of the Basalt area, and �

w'�:'s WHEREAS, these services are recognized to be of value �;
;{�;;; to Pitkin County resident participants, and =r

�;,y WHEREAS, each of the above parties desire jointly to i�.
;,;;:',. have these services available for qualifying citizens of €;;�
Pitkin County, and �%�
M�'` WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the Board o£ County Com- �
�;::;:� missioners of Pitkin County to allocate local fundinq for ,�.
the purpose of purchasinq these services,

�� 1. This contract shall be effective for the calendar ��

,',� 2. The Basalt Lions C1ub will provide, through the ��
Basalt Summer Recreation Program, summer recreational F�
<;;;;� activities for children of Pitkin County residents. #��"-�

r=`,; 3. The unit of service for billing purposes shall be ��
_� defined as the enrolled Pitkin County participant. k�

"�i 4. The fee to Pitkin County for this unit of service �
�;"` shall be eighteen dollars; however the maximum payment will
be as described below. "�

:;;; 5.- The Basalt Lions C�ub shall bill Pitkin County and ��
identify enrolled participants. '

cancel must give written notice thirty (30) days prior to

� ' 10. By subscribing to this Agreement, the parties i

the necessary apgroval and authorization to enter into
this Agreement.

12. The Basalt Lions Club agrees to indemnify and
hold Pitkin County harmless from any and all claims or
, liability arising from the swamer recreation program herein
contracted for.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed
this Agreement on the days and dates noted.
