WHEREAS, the County and SRA wish to arrange for the funding of vehicles . �;y and drivers for the provision of expanded daytime�public transit services � ��� between Snowmass Village and Aspen, and � � ' �:;; � y;� WHEREAS, the parties wish to establish a method by which the costs of r.,� � �;; such expanded services are funded exclusively by SRA (or the users of the ,�a � "?� service) rather than through County General Funds; and to insure that scheduled �, �t+ � services are provided to meet the expanded daytime public transit services � '�j desired by SRA. � `-�A?� NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual benefits to be derived � '�4 � , "�v herefrom, the parties agree as follows: ;�.;. � t� Section 1. Swrener Augmentation Program � z� � The County agrees that, for the period between June 5, 1978, through � September 5, 1978, inclusive, it will supply augmented bus service from Aspen � `' to Snowmass Village at that frequency and at those times shown on the schedule . � ,A � attached here to as Exhibit "A" and incorporated by this reference. ' � - ; 'fr•' Section 2. Operation and 5upply of Bus Services � �" ti;::, � The County shall be the sole operator of the augmented bus services � specified in Exhi6it "A" and shall provide bus services in a manner sufficient � to carry oersons seeking carriage between Snowmass Village and Aspen, Colorado, at the departure times and frequencies specified in Exhibit "A". � �� The County shall be responsible for supplying vehicles, drivers, supervisors, � �'�i � �' insurance, fuel, radios, maintenance and storage of vehicles in oroviding � such augmented service. � � Section 3. Schedule Information { �� SRA shall be responsible for providing and maintaining accurate schedule i ,T information for its visitors who are potential users of the augmented service ; and the County shall have no responsibility with respect thereto. SRA shall post and maintain accurate and bus information i will be provided users by SRA employees. The SRA shall distribute County schedules and ' brochures which provide information about County bus services being provided � during the surtmer of 1978. , ? Section 4. Fare Structures i � The County agrees to extend the same standard bus fares used on all � i other County tiuses��•�ervicing Snowmass Village'in providing the summer anrl I ; . { � augmented service. The one-way bus fares between Snowmass Village and Aspen i � shall be as follows: � 1. Cash Fares 3 .i a. Adults, $1.00 ' b. Children Under 16, $:25 c. Elderly and Handicapped, $.25 2. Discount Fares (available from bus drivers) a, 25-Ride Coupon Book, $10($.40 each) b. 10-Ride Coupon Book, $ 5($.5� each) c. Monthly Pass, $15(unlimited use) d. Annual Bus Pass, $15U(unlimited use) The SRA acknowledges that the County has and will continue to provide all of its bus patrons with discount fare coupon books, annual bus passes and free > or partiai fare discount passes to the elderly, handicapped and children, and that the County will afford carriage to such patrons without receipt of further fares or payment in the operation of the augmented services wfiere such patrons have previously paid the County for said discount fare materials. ! Section 5. Reimbursement of County_Costs i SRA agrees to reimburse the County $3,750 by July 15, 1978 for the I t ! provision of said augmented services. It is estimated that the total cost of the summer augmented service ' � ;r. outlined in Exhibit "A" is $6,750 and that estimated revenues equal $3,000. �; In the event that acutual revenues received are less than the estimated ;� � revenue total, the SRA shall reimburse the County up to a net reimbursement � � of $4,Q00 or a $250 additional payment to the $3,75Q reimbursement paid on � or before Ju1y 15, T978. � ;� 2. In the event that actual revenues received are greater than the � estimated revenues, the County shall collect 100% of the actual fare a� revenues overage up to $3,000(or net fare revenues and SRA reimbursements � of $6,75Q)and, for any actual fare and SRA reimbursement revenues generated � above $6,750, shail share equally the difference with tbe SRA. It is, � therefore, agreed and understood that the County shalT�retain all fare collections and SRA reimbursements up to a total of $6,750, and shall f share equally with the SRA only those actual fare collections totalling over '� $3,000 which cause the actual fares collected and SRA reimbursements to � exceed $6,75D. � IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties hereto have executed this agreement on the day and year above first written.
