AUTFiORZZING TFIE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR A GRAN'P UNDER TITLE V COIARADO
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES, DIVISION OF SERVZCES FOR THE AGING �

WHERI:115 Pitki.n Coiu:�y has applied for and received grant monies from
E.D.A. to convert the former Aspen Val�ey Hospital into the Pitkin County �
Comwnity Center; „
j
WHEREAS said grant money covers only remodeling and repairs to the ;:
i
building; i
WHEREAS fuxnishings and equipment will also be necessary to make the i
building operable; and !
WF�REAS funds aze available through Title V for furnishings and
equipment for multi-purpose Senior Centers (or for that part of Co�unity
Centers which are devoted to the use of Senior Citizens);
NOW THEREFORE BE ZT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Pitkin County, Colorado, that George Ochs, County Manager, is authorized on
behalf of the Boazd of County Co�issioners to make application for such
funds and to sign all relevant papers with regard to such grant and approval
of same, if granted.
BE IT EURTHER�RESOLVED that Betty Erickson, Human Resource Coordinator j

for Pitkin County, be named Project Director with respect to this grant and �
be authorized to perform any duties in connection with same or sign any papers i

i .
in connection with same on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners. i
