" . CONTRACP FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY FUNDING AND GRANT COORDINATOR .
THIS CONTRACT made and entered into the � day '

(herein fter re£erred to as "COUnty") Party of the First Part, �
and Richard E. Kienast (hereinafter referred to as "Coordinator") �
Party of the Second Part;
WITNESSETH
WE�REAS the Colorado Division of Highway Sa£ety will have
available funding for locally sponsored highway safety programs
�
and has indicated positively that program and funding proposals �
£rom Pitkin County would be considered, and �
WHEREAS the County recognizes the need for highway safety
�
�
programs within its jurisdiction, and �
WHEREAS the County desires to �nploy the services of a �
Grant Coordinator to make such proposals to the Division of Highway �'
Safety: �
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual c�venants �

herein contained ttie parties of the first and second part agree �

'as follows: �
1. The County hereby appoints Richard E. Kienast and �
Richard E. Kienast agrees to perfozm the function �

of Grant Coordinator in researchinq, submitting and � '

hiqhway safety in Pitkin County.
2. The services to be per�ormed under this Contract by �

4. The method of payment sha12 be by monthly invoice to �
' the County by the Coordinator and shall include a ratio �

of work completed to the scope of work.
5. The period of perEormance of this contract shall be
from Apzil 25, 1977 through October 15. 1977 unless
raodified by mutual agreement.
6. The principa2 professional involved in this contract
is Richard E. Kienast, however it is understood that
a portion of the work will be subcontracted to Mark �
A_�A. Skrotzki and the County hereby aqrees to such
subcontract. Any other subcontract must be approved �
in advance by the County. �
