- THTS AGREEMENP is entered into as of the first day of �
t January, 1979 by and between the Board of County Commissioners �
- of Piticin County and Snowmass-Wildca�.� Fire Protection District
Ambulance (hereinafter referred to as Snowmass-Wiidca�:. Ambulance). �

RECITAIS �.
�
WfiEREAS, Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection Ambulance �
provides ambulance service to outlying Pitkin County areas which
are located outside of the Snowmass-�Iildcat Fire District, and
�.
WHEREAS, it is deemed desireable to have these services
available for citizens of Pitkin County, and
WHEREAS, each party is authori2ed by statuts or other-
wise to contract with one another.

� II.
AGREEMENT
� 1. This contract shall be effective starting January
� 1, 1979 for the Calendar Year 1979 and any extention or renewal
� thereof shall be re-negotiated at budget time, that is prior to
� September 30, 2979. .
2. Emergency ambulance service will be provided to
outlying areas of Pitkin County which are located outside of the
Showmass Wildcat Fire District, but adjacent to that District by the
Snowmass-�Qildcat Fire Pzotection District Ambulance.
3. In addition, emergency ambulance service will be -
provided by the Snowmass t�iidcat Ambuiance for any request for
mutual aid from the Aspen Valleg Hospital Ambulance Service,

or in the event of failure of the Aspen Valley Hospital Ambulance j

Service to respond, the Snowmass Wildcat Ambulaace wiil provide j-
emergency ambulance service whenever possxble. �

� 4. Snowmass Wildcat Ambulance agrees to maintain
a minimum of (1) fuliy equiped and staffed ambulance which at all `

times shall be on call twenty four (24) hours a day, seven (7) {
days per week. In addition, Snowmass-Wildcat Ambulance will provide I
4 one {1) driver and one (1) �mergency Medical Technician at all
* times. This ambulance sha22 respond promptZy to all calls for
s assistance whether from rivate or
G p governmental sources. This
ambulance shall respond promptiy to all calls for assistance from
the combined communication centers or from private sources after
checking with the combined communication center to assure no dupli-
� cation of service.
; 5. Pitkin County agrees to pay Snowmass-wiidcat Am-
bulance $60 for each ca11 raade under 3 hours and �90 for each call
t
made over 3 hours in Pitkin County, the total for Calendar Year 1979
` � not to exceed $1,000 (One Thousand Dollars).

� 6. Snowmass-Wildcat Ambulance will be reimbursed
� only for ambuiance runs actually made and bilied according to the
� following procedure:
7. The biliing and payment procedure shall be as
£ollows:
A. Snowmass-Wildcat Ambuiance will submit, prior
to the tenth of each month, an accounting of
services delivered in Piticin County during the
_ previous month. This wiil be submitted to
the Human Resources Department.

8. Snowmass-Wildcat Ambulance will be responsible for

� 9. Snowmass-Wildcat Ambulance shail permit Pitkin
County to review or conduct an audit of Snowmass-Wildcat`s accounting ,
system, books and records, which are relevant to this Agreement.

� 10. This contract may be canceiled and terminated
y ��,
h by either party but the party desiring to terminate or cancei must
give written notice to the other party at least thirty (30) days
prior to the date of cancellation.

11. By sukBCribing to this Agreement, the parties
represent to each other that they have�?heretofore acquired the
necessary approval and authorization to enter into this Agreement.
