RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, GRANTING SPECIAL REVIEW

APPROVAL FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE ASPEN RACQUET CLOB

_ WHEREAS, owners of the Aspen Racquet Club ("Applicant") �
have made application for special review approval (for the j
improvement and expansion of the Club) pursuant to the provisions �
� � �
of Section 3.06.03 b. of the Pitkin County Land Use Code, and i
WHEREAS, the application includes a request to construct �
a new clubhouse to include the following uses (with the noted i
square footage devoted to each) : �

� WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Planning & Zoning Commission �
� _ has recommended approval of the application at its meeting held � �
�, on December 20, 1978, and �
WHEREAS, the Soard is willing to adopt this recommendation, �
subject to the condition hereinafter specified, �
� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County �
� Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, that it does hereby �
�
grant special review approval to the Aspen Racquet Club for �
the improvements and uses hereinabove described conditioned as �

2. The Applicant shall close its present access to �

Highway 82 and replace it with an access from the ,i
Owl Creek Road at the northerly edge of the Aspen

? Racquet Club Property.
; 2. The Applicant shall relocate its present parking i

; • lot to the rear of the property in conjunction with �
the relocation o£ the access road. The existing `
;

lot area shall be bermed and revegetated (including ' �'
trees) to screen the facility, all as shown on the �
grading plans submitted as figure 3 on the application �

(to be approved by the County Extension Agent) . a

3. The Applicant shall provide necessary fill for the �

proposed turnout lane at the intersection of Owl �
Creek Road and Highway 82. �#
: 4. The Applicant shall convey to Pitkin County (for the �
use of Park Meadows) a perpetual in gross easement (for �
roadway purposes) , to be used when and if Park Meadows 1
sha11 be reguired (or shall elect) to terminate the use
of its access from Highway 82. .The exact location of
_ the easement shall be determined by the Applicant {subject � �
� _ to the approval of the County Engineer) taking into
consideration the Appliaants present and future improve- �
ments and uses on the site and so as to result in the � -
least impacts thereon; provided that the final alignment � '
�
shall be usable and adequate to meet the reasonable needs
of Park Meadows. Provided, £urther, that nothing herein
shall be construed to require the Applicant to contribute
to the cost of construction of any roadway placed within �
the easement. �
